9 Dimensions of Wellness

Holistic refers to considering the whole of an individual and not just a single part. Dimensional refers to measurement in all direction. Diamond Development recognizes the multifaceted nature of student-athletes and believes true development can only happen when the entire individual is supported.

The 9 Dimensions of Wellness are different areas of influence in every person’s life. While each dimension is distinct, they also impact one another to determine one’s overall wellbeing. Often in athletics the physical dimension takes priority, diminishing one’s true capacity and leading to the reliance on the athlete identity only.
